Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ)

is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with digital care, outpatient care, intensive outpatient care, day care, inpatient care, and nationally highly specialized care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we are over 280 employees. Our outpatient and day care services are located in Södermalm, and our inpatient care is at Danderyd Hospital.

Inpatient care for children and adolescents has space for 12 families with a treatment period of 6-10 weeks. Family work is a central role in the treatment where parents are strengthened in their parenting role and gain increased knowledge about the eating disorder. Parents are present with their children throughout the treatment period.

We offer you as a licensed nurse a stimulating and pleasant workplace where we have the patient at the center. You will receive training in our treatment methods as well as regular supervision. We are engaged teams with high competence and we strive to provide patients with the best care. We want to achieve an open and pleasant working climate with close cooperation between our different units. Every week, families have the opportunity to meet a Participation Coordinator, and we have a close collaboration with the patient association Frisk och Fri. Together with us, you will have the opportunity to grow, thrive, and continue to develop our eating disorder care.

Job Responsibilities:

As a nurse with us, you have a leading role where you, together with the care team, plan and perform treatment and nursing measures for our patients. Other responsibilities for you as a nurse include medication administration, somatic examinations, and delegations.

The tasks may also include meal support, self-registration, and anxiety management aimed at strengthening the patient for those who need individual adjustments related to possible psychiatric comorbidity.

In your role, you will be part of a closely-knit team, where you collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers. Together we use evidence-based methods, such as FBT (Family-Based Treatment), to provide each family with the tools they need for sustainable change. Together we provide safe care based on competence, trust, and collaboration.

Employment Form:

Permanent employment, day/evening and weekend shifts. Full-time 38.15 hours/week, or as agreed. A probationary period may be applied.

Qualifications:

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with previous experience in, or a strong interest in working in psychiatric care and/or care for patients with eating disorders.

Even if you are a newly graduated nurse, you are welcome to apply if you have previous experience from, or a genuine interest in eating disorder care.

Experience in somatic care is considered an asset but is not a requirement. If you are a trained CPR instructor or Bergen instructor, that is also an asset. Likewise, knowledge of the Take Care journal system.
